Architecture for books

The working-class neighborhood Sant Martí has a new library - the third largest in Barcelona with an area of over 3,000 m2.
The library "Gabriel García Márquez", named
named in honor of the Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez, was built by the Madrid-based firm SUMA Arquitectura. The building is characterized by the use of wood as the main construction material and the pleasant indoor climate. Due to its design and location on a tree-lined, sloping corner, the library invites people to linger - a crucial aspect for the local community to both enjoy and utilize this valuable asset.
💚

The library emanates tranquility and instantly provides a sense of being at home..
