La Ricarda - Casa Gomis
The Vila La Ricarda, also known as Casa Gomis, is considered as a milestone of Catalan rationalism and declared recently a Cultural Property of National Interest. The house is remarkable not only for its architecture, including the harmonious embedding in the Mediterranean topography, the spacial concept based on a grid, the Catalan vaulting technique, the semi-transparent ceramic walls and the original tailormade furnishings, but also for its historical significance. Ricardo Gomis and Ines Bertrand turned this house in a refuge for Catalan artists and intellectuals who founded Club 49 during the last years of the Franco regime.
