Recovery of the Essence

On this walking tour through the Raval, Gothic and Born neighborhoods, we will discover how different urban planning strategies revitalized the old town of Barcelona since the 1980s. We explain what kind of urban planning decisions can change the urban pattern of a city and how these plans have a direct impact on its inhabitants and its economical development. The implant of new uses (for instance with MACBA / CCCB) or the creation of new public spaces (Rambla del Raval) can change a neighborhood in its essence.
