urban patterns
Learning from Barcelona
Moving through various neighborhoods in the city, we learn how density and other factors shape the urban patterns and consequently the dynamics of a neighborhood. We discover how urban regeneration has continued steadily, from the demolition of the city walls in the 19th century, to the expansion and opening of the city towards the sea, the transformation of the former industrial quarter into the new 22@, and the most recent urban transformation with the Plaça de les Glòries. Using Barcelona as an example, this tour is the perfect way to learn about the urban development of European Cities.
