Barcelona, a city renowned for its architecture and urban innovation, recently played host to a four-day architectural journey orchestrated by Urbanvisor for the Bund Deutscher Architekten from Frankfurt (BDA). This custom-tailored journey took the architects from the BDA Frankfurt through Barcelona's architectural tapestry, showcasing a harmonious mix of iconic houses, award-winning buildings from young local architects and innovation and urban planning.

Day 1: Celebrating Iconic Houses and award winning houses: The journey commenced with a focus on award-winning and iconic modern buildings that have become symbolic of Barcelona's architectural landscape.
Day 2: Barcelona's Urban Evolution: The second day was dedicated to exploring the concept of the "Superilla" in Barcelona and how a city could be rethought trough urban planning measure. The participants gained insights into the future perspectives of a city through an exclusive lecture by Barcelona's former Chief City Architect. The day continued with an exploration of the innovative structures in the 22@ district, showcasing the city's commitment to sustainable and forward-thinking urban development.
Day 3: Modernism and Montjuïc's Icons: The third day invited the BDA-architects to delve into the world of "Modernismo," a Catalan version of Art Nouveau that has left an indelible mark on the city's architecture. The three iconic museums on Montjuïc provided a journey through time.
Day 4: Ciutat Vella: Urban development in the old town from the 1980s to the present day: The journey's conclusion took participants through the streets of the Gothic Quarter, the Raval and Sant Antoni district. Here, Urbanvisor demonstrated how targeted interventions can breathe new life into urban spaces and foster a more welcoming and sustainable environment for residents.
