Openhouse Barcelona

The architecture festival #48hOpenHouseBCN (Openhouse Festival in Barcelona) is always a boldly marked event in our urbanvisor team's agenda. This year, it took place on 22-23 October and attracted 76’300 visitors with its extensive program.

We had the opportunity to discover new buildings and make contacts which opened up the tours to include new architecture in our custom tour. Among others, we visited the Escola La Mar Bella, a renovation and extension of an existing school, by SUMO architects - It impressed us with its simple and beautiful solutions - and Escola Massana, built by the talented architect Carme Pinó.. The design school is covered with ceramic material, of large dimensions, manufactured by hand and designed specifically for the project.
